Yasmin Rodriguez is a graduate student at Iowa State getting her Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) in Graphic Design. She wears many hats; teaching assistant for Graphic Design 281: Visual Communication and Branding, graphic designer at The Center for LGBTQIA+ Student Success at Iowa State, and transit dispatcher at CyRide. She will pursue her Phd in Human Computer Interaction beginning the Summer of 2018.

Originally from California, she received her Associates in Arts for Transfer (AA-T) in Design at Bakersfield College. She moved to Ames, Iowa for her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Design (BDes) at Iowa State. Her design interests include typography, branding and User Experience (UX) design. She is proficient in Illustrator and InDesign and experienced in After Effects, Photoshop and Premier.

She is the creator and creative director for Borderline. Borderline is website looking to gather stories of current or previously undocumented immigrants and first generation Americans. These stories are based on their personal experiences or struggles in the United States.
